Let me ask you, Bard, and anyone else mindlessly defending murder: do you believe she was trying to leave? Or do you think she was trying to use her Honda Pilot as a deadly weapon to end that ICE agent’s life?

That’s all I want answered. That’s it. Just answer that and I’ll leave the thread in peace.

So easy for you to monday morning quarterback this. Stand in front of a vehicle and while the driver revs rev the engine and slamming it in gear accelerating towards you and I need you to think about all those things while trying not to be run over on an icy street

Which is a rational take. But I also feel like it’s rational take that she shouldn’t have to die for that. People dying over stuff like that is third world shite, not greatest country in the world shite.

She didn’t die for disrupting, she was getting arrested for that. She resisted. That’s normally not punishable by death, but that materially changes when you put others in danger. I don’t really want to defend the cop shooting her, I wish he wouldn’t but can understand if he felt she was putting lives in danger. Her actions are really just not defensible, from what I can see in the posted videos.

You can pull off and deal with pd which many would do.

The border patrol agents are supposed to have local police with them for exactly this reason. These agents aren’t trained, nor authorized, to arrest US citizens….they’re border patrol. The Minny sheriff said they had no idea this team was in the area and were called after the woman was dead.

Directly from DHS policy: DHS law enforcement officers are prohibited from discharging firearms at the operator of a moving vehicle or other conveyance

Just like you said ICE agents can’t arrest people. GFY.

How would shooting the person keep you from being run over in this situation?

Wouldn’t you be more focused on diving out of the way instead of just hoping your headshot leads to her collapsing on the brake pedal?

Hell, you saw what happened to the car after she got shot

The only thing I am embarrassed about is that I used to vote right next to you and that screeching woman. I regret it every single day.

When I was a training corporal, I used to teach my trainees that the most effective impact weapon that the sheriff issues you is this patrol car we're sitting in.

Whether she actually was trying to run him over or not, she certainly gave the appearance that could be her intent.

She made some bad choices, too, obviously, but if she had made this mistakes with a real cop or anyone properly trained I think she’d still be alive.

You know how else she’d still be alive?

By Not interfering with a federal investigation.

I fully agree but the local "leaders" for some reason refuse to give ICE the support that they request. I wonder why that is?

You actually believe that? The police in these heavy blue sanctuary cities aren’t helping and are being told not to. Happened in Chicago when that protestor tried to interfere. The dispatcher literally told all units to stand down and not get involved.

There were cops in MA last year that arrested an illegal for sexually assaulting a minor and ICE told them they were coming to get the person to deport him. What did they do? Let the guy back out on the street.

Virtue signaling > public safety with these people. It’s insane.
