Woman embraces unibrow after a lifetime of teasing, says natural look boosted her career

Anthony Davis called... How hard is it to take care of that. It looks hideous on her.
quote:
A woman who was called a “wolf” and “Golden Arches” by school bullies because of her monobrow says she now embraces it - and is more confident than ever.
quote:
Joselyn Jones, 23, was relentlessly teased in the playground by kids who would howl like wolves - or cruelly compare her unibrow to the McDonald’s logo.
quote:
When she was ten, her parents finally relented and allowed her to pluck her brows, which became a painstaking daily routine due to their thickness. For twelve years, Jones groomed her brows every morning and spent $10 weekly to have them professionally shaped.
quote:
When Jones, a hairdresser, welcomed her son Jeremiah, now five, her grooming routine began to stretch her tight finances and she worried about the impression she was imprinting on her young son.

"It’s interesting because ever since I’ve grown my eyebrows men are more interested in me,” the woman said. "I think men are so used to seeing women in a certain way, that to see someone looking different is attractive.”

Didn’t he play basketball Kentucky at one time?

Then why does she still have fake hair?

Why is this a story?
This world is fricking dumb.

Why is this a story?
Because it's a weird body image story about a black chick who became a single mom at 18. It tics all the modern feminist hero boxes

She's lying to help herself feel better.

This poor woman should be posted on the cover of Rolling Stone or Time Magazine. The struggle that she must have gone through. She should be allowed to share her truth with us.
Imagine the strength and courage it must take to stop bending to patriarchal standard of beauty.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm going to have a long talk with my daughter tonight about courage and strength.
