so, what "lead up" would you say would make it acceptable for him to do what he did?

She might have already thrown a punch?

The witnesses that took the video said he was asking for a straw and arguing.

He got the Filet-o-fist, unhappy meal.

Appears justified. Can't believe the manager didn't throw the guy out immediately.

Theoretically defense or attempted theft would both be legitimate reasons to fight back.

Again not defending him, I already ceded this guy is probably just an a-hole, as someone provided a tidbit of a report but the lack of the whole story is what I'm on about.

Especially when the videos posted immediately make it a race issue. It's ok to take the middle Lane and wait for more instead of going full rabble.

no, that was just the point he got mad enough to grab her

that is very very far from the beginning where we cant see whatever she said or did to provoke him before this happens.

the video narrator clearly has a one sided racist based agenda to push and they were not in any way trying to present all the evidence from the beginning.

this is just racist propaganda

that said, no man should ever put hands on a woman first and he is dead wrong for that, but im in no way ready to say she didnt do something to cause the confrontation

You can't tell me that bus driver uppercutting that woman on the city bus didn't feel at least somewhat justified/satisfying.

Well, that's an interesting take after watching the video.

Did you watch a different video than everyone else?

You think if she threw a punch earlier that would then make what he did acceptable?

No way...she could have hit him multiple times in the face, and he still would not have the right or privilege to grab her shirt like that.

Right?

No clue if you're being sarcastic but yes of course, if she had punched him previously that 100% does not remotely justify what he did.

Not even close.

If she was punching him and he grabbed her in that moment, that would be different. She wasn't punching him in that moment.

I can't really speak of the moments prior to filming. I suppose it's become a matter of debating how soon before he grabbed her that she may or may not have punched him.

Per the usual, this, as in most all racial, sexual, etc. issues, can likely be figured out by putting forth a simple, hypothetical role reversal. I will leave race out of this, for now.

So, we see a video of a woman reach over the counter at McDonald's and grab a male employee's shirt, yanking him towards her. The male employee then starts hitting the women in the face repeatedly.

I look forward to your thoughts, and I'm so happy we both live in an equal world.

The relevant question would be was he punching her just because she put her hands on him or was he punching her because he truly felt unsafe and punching her was the only way to protect himself...

Huge difference in the 2.

But like I said, back to this example, I can't think of 1 real world and logical thing that could have happened prior to that video that would justify the dude grabbing the girl like that.

Agreed, but I hope we all know that, by now, it has become SOP to claim that you "felt" threatened. We have mainstreamed semantics into our authorities' interpretation of the law.

Just to be clear, you're saying that if a man punches a woman in the face, the woman cannot justify grabbing the man by his shirt and pulling him toward her?
