Remember to wire a 220v to your car next time. Just keep in mind to unplug it before you leave.

No gangs... just one club. And I'm an officer in that club so I'm good to go.

What kind of response were you expecting to your condescending post?

I'd love to see the make up of this "club"

Is there not someone out there that has designed theft proof lug nuts or some sort of security enhancement?
Maybe we should design one on the OT. This shite happens alllllllll the time these days.

Were they the factory 20"s? Those look great on the Tahoes.

Well since 220 is two phases that is really hard to do.
Not to mention the hell it would cause the onboard electrics to have high ac voltage flowering through the dc negative.
Truth is, not much you can do.
Lock lugs can be defeated by hammering sockets over them. Add an alarm with a level sensor.

i wouldn't live anywhere in nola without installing cameras around my house.
I did hear that a lot of this is latino gangs, jacking this stuff and sending it over the border.

Happened to me about 2 years ago as well. Also happened to my boss about a year and a half ago. Both in metairie and both had factory rims.
On a side note, make sure you tell the cop bye because you'll never see them again if they even come.

Gorilla lugs. An acorn style gorilla lug torqued to 90 ft/lbs works.
Ill notice someone hammering 20 plus sockets onto wheels...as would any conscious person.

I used to work with General Motors accessory division. Those wheels get stolen off of vehicles in all corners of the country. I've seen dealerships in Houston, Lake Charles, Dallas, Minneapolis, St. Louis, etc.
I'd go with some aftermarket wheels if possible something of the country boy truck variety.
Also I lived in the NOLA area for 20 plus years only time my car got broken into was in a driveway in kennerbrah next to the house Pierre Thomas now lives in. When I lived in Houston my truck got broken into 6 times in 5 years. In a gated parking garage. shite happens.
