I had 4 taken out at once. If you get the procedure done at a dentist's office, they will usually give you laughing gas and numb you up big time, but you won't be completely asleep.

If you get the procedure done at a surgery center, they will most likely put you completely to sleep.

You will be pretty drugged up the day of the surgery and on your way home. The worst pain is usually the soreness (the next couple of days).

You can definitely tough it out with Tylenol, but they usually prescribe you something stronger.

Exact same thing happened for me. They gave me hydrocodone afterwards, fyi.

This was my first. The second was the Berlin wall coming down. I remember our parents made me and my sister come watch it on TV. They thought it would never happen in their lifetime. I'm 47 now.

Amazon

I live in Berlin but bought it here on Amazon. I changed the shipping address to my sister’s in Ohio and it said it would ship, fyi. I don’t know a local US place.

Has usb-c, usb-a, lightning, micro usb and can open your beer

Watching it live in Berlin after work  Usually I have to wait until the weekend and sometimes the last out is at 7am in the morning here (+7 hours from the central time zone). :geauxtigers:

I live in Berlin and have this Friday and Monday off. Just to add, it was also strange to me when I moved here to have so many religious holidays off. They have ones off that I hadn't even heard of before as work holidays.

5 sets of 47 push ups this morning Hope most people caught that. I certainly did. For those of us who didn't catch it?

5 sets of push ups (Trump the 45th) at 47 reps (Trump now the 47th)
I'm a little bit the same. After everything that went on with Rueben Randle and what felt like a circus, I told myself I would never again let myself get so invested in what a teenager decides. I felt foolish at how much emotion I spent on in it as an almost 30 year old with bills

I just used it to make some emails grammatically correct, and sound more professional/appealing. It has a place in the world. Saved me time.

I kind of do the same when I have to write business emails in German. My German is ok, but not on a business level. I first write my best German by myself. Then I use AI to make sure it sounds business appropriate. I use it as a tool and use it less and less the more I learn the proper grammar. It saves a lot of time.
If you have Telegram, look up the chat 'South First Responders' if you want to see unedited proof of some of the stuff. I don't want to link it because I don't know if the rules on here allow linking to such gruesome stuff. It's sick. Most is from Hamas' own body cameras that they used along with security footage.

I remember seeing a map of Europe at the beginning of the ukraine war with their respective standing “armies” and I was frickin shocked at how unbelievably small they all were. Europe is completely demilitarized. They don’t have shite for weapons either

I have lived in Berlin for almost 6 years now and I can tell you it is much worse than you think. They don't have anyone here even willing to fight. Anyone that would be willing to fight is labeled as a 'Rechtsextremist' (Right-Wing extremist). I've come out of the grocery store before, seen a man dressed in military fatigues, and a person just screamed at them for no reason. I've been told by people that have become close to me (so I tend to believe what they tell me), that they used to think, just let the americans go fight and they will contribute money. They really have no idea and don't understand at all what the current climate is like in the US.
I live in Berlin and now that I read this, I wonder if that happened here. I don't remember seeing Pepsi products the last few times I was in my Kaufland grocery store. Next time I'm there, I will pay attention to see if this is so.
The light skinned lady in the back is the one who said Ukraine. She's the one who came up to me and showed me the paper. It's a point where I get asked a lot where the Bürgeramt (citzen office) is. That wasn't the building we went to. I spoke to her in german and she shook her head no. Then I said "English?" and she said "Ukraine". When I say none of them spoke english, I mean none at all. There was a line of about 40-50 people outside the building I brought them to. I thought the same, but didn't (couldn't) ask. In the end, I just wanted to be helpful :-)
Just thought I'd share a quick story. I live in Berlin. I was walking this morning to work, and a family from the Ukraine approached me needing help finding a goverment building. All they had was an address from a google print out but their phone didn't work well (internet) and they couldn't speak any English or German (the 2 languages I can speak). We worked together and I was able to help them find it. It felt good. Just a small quick story about real life :-)

You pay something similar in Germany. I've lived in Berlin for 5 years. I recently learned this the hard way. I had to pay a back payment of 792 euros! I love living here but all my mistakes seem to cost soo much

How Much Is The Radio Tax In Germany?
The radio and TV tax in Germany is 18,36 euros a month per household, regardless of how many people live in it. It gets collected per quarter so that you will pay 55,08 euros four times a year. The price was increased last in August 2021.

Is It Mandatory To Pay ARD ZDF?
Yes, it is. Every household in Germany must pay the Rundfunkbeitrag since 2013 unless you fall under one of the below categories that allows an exception. It is irrelevant whether you actually consume the German public broadcasting services or not.

Thanks, glad to help. For Netflix, I don't use a VPN connection. I haven't noticed any real difference in selection options. I get suggested German movies sometimes because I guess I'm physically in Germany with a German IP. There hasn't been anything that I've wanted to watch that wasn't available though.

With the LSU games I would say I've done well. The most interesting was watching the Jan 2020 National Championship game. It started around 2:00am here. I posted online and got 4 other people from the US to come and watch it at a bar.

As for other games, I usually try and just stay up and watch the games. It's the only time I like the 11:00am central games because they start at 6pm here! I still would rather LSU play at night. I have a projector (which a lot of people do here) and stream it through the Apple TV and my Homepods. It works great. The biggest problem is when LSU is on CBS. Their app doesn't play as well internationaly so I have to find a stream the few times that happens.

The biggest factor in watching the games live for me is that if they lose, I won't watch the replay. It's the same for the Pelicans and Saints games.

All in all, it's not as hard as it would have been just 5-10 years ago. You can watch what you want, talk when you want, and write when you want with the internet.
I have lived in Berlin for almost 5 years now. Here's just a few of the things that I do.

1. ESPN Player - This works without VPN internationally. It let's you watch all sporting events on any ESPN related network. This includes replays and of course live events. It costs $13.99/month but generally works good.

2. Pluto TV - This is free. If you want the English programming then you have to VPN into the US. Then everything is in English. It's mostly old reruns, but a quick rundown of some things that I watch are a)Deal or no deal b) Jersey Shore reruns c) South Park d) The Honeymooners d) Swamp People. There is a lot more. It's also good if you are learning another language. You can VPN into that country and get that language. For example, I've used it to watch South Park in German and Spanish.

3. Netflix works without a VPN.

4. The Peacock app works with a VPN.

5. Disney+ works without a VPN.

6. I pay for the NBA Leauge Team Pass to watch the Pelicans.

Of course in a pinch, you can always find a stream for something. For me it's the plus 6-7 hour time difference that causes an issue.

If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them based on my expeierences. Hope this helps.

re: Dog just had a seizure

Posted by chris44gwlsu on 11/4/22 at 5:00 am to
I just wanted to share with you my experience with our dog and seizures. We had a shitzu. When he was 2 he had his first seizure. We panicked and brought him to the overnight vet at 10pm. All the vet did was give him a valium IV and we picked him up in the morning. It costs us $500 (he only cost $425).

We later brought him to the regular vet. They gave us some medicine but it only was supposed to make them less frequent and severe. We didn't see that. He still had them about 2-3 times a month and they would last 30-90 minutes. They usually came when he got really excited. After 4-5 years we stopped the medicine as it didn't seem to have any effect. He had them his whole life but still lived a very happy life until he was almost 17 (he died this last April). Ultimately, it was cancer that got him. I just wanted you to know that seizures are not some death sentence. You have to make sure they are watched near water because if they fall in they will drown. Other than that, just comfort them while they are seizing and your dog should have a good life.
If you are willing to pay, you can use the ESPN Player app. It will get you everything they have on all the ESPN channels (this includes SEC Network). It costs $13.99/month. This app only works outside of the US. I live in Berlin and use it.

Here is the link in the iOS app store. I'm sure there is an app in the android app store as well.
