You shouldn't be asking where's the proof.....you should be asking why the outrage?

Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.

Yes you are. You don't like the idea that parents can say thanks put no thanks to you and your services. That's rather odd to me.

The system is set up for school staff to be involved with kids beyond class instruction and career counseling
I'd be happy to opt out of paying for things I don' think are necessary, but your institution's budget wouldn't like that.

For instance, suicide prevention here is required by school counselors by state law (passed bipartisan) but you’re saying they shouldn’t be involved in mental health.
No, I've made no such blanket statement

So which is it?
I love that you think you have some gotcha here

Where are the ones about K-3?
That is the entire state of New Jersey, not just one school.
LINK
There is the entire state of Washington.
LINK
That is the entire state of Oregon.
LINK
That is in the entire state of California.
Oh, and the one in California is taught with or without parental consent.
I’m sure there are other entire states out there.

Much of the law concerns parents rights that have nothing to do with the age of the student. If only you had read the law…

I would take it further back Should we have school counselors?
I would say yes as teachers alone couldn’t manage scheduling, IEP meetings/ECE/504 plans, career counseling, etc.

They can opt of allowing their kid to speak with the guidance counselor without the consent of the parent first.
That’s not what I asked.
I said “tell”, as did the original poster you responded to. As in a 1 way form of communication. You’re saying “speak with”, as in 2 way communication.
So I’ll ask again: what, specifically, can parents opt out of that prevents a kid from telling anyone they are being abused?

That's not what's happening, and you know it.
You know why the "groomer" thing started? Because of the absolute visceral rage that came from the left when that bill was proposed. I mean losing their ever fricking minds over it.
So your average person has to ask themselves, "What kind of person goes in to an irrational rage over a bill that keeps sexual orientation and gender identities out of K-3 education?"
I'll let you figure out the rest.

Therein lies the rub. What do you think the school counselor should be responsible for?
First and foremost, school instruction, time management, study skills, and academic related troubles.
Secondly, a place a student can go and report social trouble like bullying from peers and abuse from adults.
This law does not prevent any of that, unless you consider a parent not wanting their K-3 student to believe they are transgendered as abuse.

The only thing I understood from that is career counseling
But if all that stuff is practical or career/education path oriented, fair enough. If so, is that all we should have counselors do? I like that idea.

Groomers can't groom.
Thats it. They can't teach 5 year old kids about trannyism.
That's what this entire fiasco is about. The average progressive is totally unaware that they are simply the footsoldiers in the culture war

After taking a few to look at them, I can now see why this bill was proposed. While I think the intent was not for evil purposes, it could very easily be taken advantage of by some evil fricks.
