Fortunately you don’t have to worry about Florida law or the rights of Florida parents.

But getting pissy about a law that keeps small children away from sex and gender identity talk is weird.

Therein lies the rub. What do you think the school counselor should be responsible for?

Here is one from Montana from 6 days ago.

'Why are straights so sexually aggressive?' Worksheet given to students upsets parents

99 percent of reported rapists are heterosexual. Why are straights so sexually aggressive?

The majority of child molesters are heterosexuals. Do you consider it safe to expose children to heterosexual teachers, scout leaders and coaches?

When did you choose your sexual orientation?

This is the absolute shite that is taught in US schools. That isn’t appropriate for the 14 year olds it was given to.

And this is simply what made its way to the parents.

Imagine what else goes on behind closed doors.

At this point, I am all for the Japanese school model of facts, facts, facts.

I want actual, documented examples of it happening. There's over 130,000 schools in America, I'm sure you could've come up with one example off the top of your head, no?

ahh, so we’re just going to intentionally keep sticking out head in that sand. There is actual published content by teachers and admins on those accounts of what they are teaching and of them whining/crying when they are told they can’t teach inappropriate filth to children.

There’s no further proof or evidence needed outside of that and the Left throwing a hissy fit about the bill. And nothing i provide is likely to open your eyes, because as you’ve stated multiple times you chose to ignore it.

I've read that before, and as horrible as that is, that story is about a 7th grader, and not in a class setting, but a school club.

So then which is it? You want schools to just teach or do you want them involved in other facets of your child’s life?

Do you not see where the line has been blurred?

God forbid yall stay in your lane.

What’s the lane? In one breath we have parents asking for teachers to better evaluate mental issues in students and report them but then in the other you’re saying to stick to “just teaching”.

Again, define the lane.

Discussions about future education prospects and college.

That was essentially the only job performed by my guidance counselor.

There is no one size fits all answer. Which is why it's up to the individual family to make decisions about services provided to their children.

I’m really not (Scruffy at least answered honestly). The system is set up for school staff to be involved with kids beyond class instruction and career counseling (many parts which are passed on a state legislative level). For instance, suicide prevention here is required by school counselors by state law (passed bipartisan) but you’re saying they shouldn’t be involved in mental health.

So which is it?

I would take it further back

Should we have school counselors?
