I’m a tech incompetent bastard but I was always led to believe there is no “deleting” jack crap from the internet. Aren’t all our posts written in permanent ink not pencils? I’m on my second TD account and without a doubt my post history would offend the children of harlots I hate in this country ie white liberals. It’s just I’m already in the gutter so I don’t really have a whole lot to lose financially. To answer the OP’s thoughts, YES, you TD posters with jobs, careers, money, children,.....etc.... y’all might wanna pump the brakes a tad or use the “nuclear option”.

An email address could be used to identify people pretty easily if it's one they for other purposes.

Reddit lets you wipe your account.
The post remains, but anything linking to a user is gone. The post simply says it was posted by "deleted" user.

If I piss someone off I am not going to fire myself and there is nothing that anyone on the internet can do to hurt my business. I have private clients and strong NDAs in place for all staff and contractors as well as my clients.
I don't care which side you are on, I will never go after your job as long as you do not do anything that directly affects me. Trying to get someone fired and make someone unemployable is a uniquely shitty, evil thing to do. I honestly can't fathom wanting to take somebody's career, even someone I hated.

Same. I'm pretty conscious of what I post these days and try to keep in mind not to hide behind the thin veneer of online anonymity for things I wouldn't want attached to my name publicly or professionally.
But I signed up when I was 18 and a freshman in college in an era before scouring the social media for a slip up was a thing so I'm not sure what I might have posted 10-12 years ago. I know at some point I've posted my email address that contains part of my name

If I remember correctly there are foreign websites that copy american forums. your posts, profiles, everything. I remember this being the case when I posted on bodybuilding forums.
