Maybe we should have prom kings for boys, prom queens for girls and prom things for everyone else who can't identify.

Just Rename the entire award
Gender Neutral Peer Equal and give give it to everyone.
After all, Prom king and prom queen are hurtful denominations because they cause pain to transgenders, also, having a king and queen is putting someone above the rest which could be hurtful to another so it shouldn't have the connotation of royalty.
Finally, someone having something that everyone else can't leech off of goes against retarded SJW principles.
So from now on instead of Prom King and Prom Queen, everyone votes for Gender Neutral Peer Equal. Also, the votes don't matter because at the end of the voting process all of the votes are counted and then distributed equally among all people of the school.

One of the people running for prom queen at my HS is a dude that "identifies" as chick. And I live in Mobile, AL!
I guess you can't deny them otherwise it could cause a uproar.

I agree. This will never be carried to its logical conclusion that a full grown adult male calls himself a women and showers in a locker room with your underage daughter.

Just some little high-school. I'm sure the mental handicapped, uneducated, selfish, egotistical, unparented teenager in this situation who got the entire school to bend to its own whims will certainly grow up to be a well adjusted member of society.

I think a lot of it is backlash for the constant news stories. I don't care what you call yourself, just sick of hearing about it. I am able to recognize that it wouldn't be news if certain people would stop freaking out about it. I blame Bruce Jenner.

No lie - I ran for Homecoming Queen as a joke my senior year. I had the votes, too, but the administration nixed the whole thing.

Every time a big deal is made of these situations the LGBT community gets more fired up. If people would just move on and quit whining about it, stop taking offense, we'd stop hearing about them.
