St. Tammany is about to hand LP a beer. My guess is students will be put on buses just as the freezing rain starts...you know - to maximize liability potential.

They also said in the post to be prepared for a chance of early dismissal. So now parents that work have to decide if someone is burning a vacation day.

LSU will keep school open until after the roads are icy, then close and make everyone drive home on them.

What the hell is the point of having school when there is a excellent chance it will be icy roads literally right after you drop off a kid or head to campus and then cancel it...

So lets make people drive to school, then once its icy rain all over...tell them its time to leave and make them drive back on icy roads

Excellent logic

Not to mention, having parents at work trying to get off to go and pick up kids last min. Just dumb.

End of the day, we live in South Louisiana and we are not built to handle ice.

Well looks like I'm not driving home but driving to a friends house to avoid the roads.

EBR is ran by a lot of competent people

Don't you worry

(sarcasm)

I would keep my kids home and not try to haul back and forth and try to beat the icy roads
