only in areas of snow.
average is 6.25, but givin our warm climate you would multiply by 10

When can we start discussing next weeks storm?

If it was "dry" snow, then yes. Most likely a lot of our precip will be ice, with a snow towards the end of the system.

I am off work for the next few days. Got beer and crown ready. I have a feeling the post here tomorrow will reek of alcohol.

Yep, 0.44" @ BTR and it looks like all ice, but the NAM has been one of the crappier models so far this winter
ETA: 0.59" for New Orleans almost all ice
Verbatim based on 00z NAM

I'm confused, are we now expecting this to be worse or more mild than what we first thought?

A few days. This isn't Alaska.

Was I smart to cancel all my appointments tomm in the BR/Geismar area? I tried to tell my regional sales rep to turn back around when he left Houston around 3pm today but he said we will see what the weather will be like in the morning. So we are scheduled to just meet at the office.

I have a strong feeling no one knows what the hell is going to happen tomorrow. It seems like we are going to get all ice with a little snow, or a nice snow dump. Anything around which will make this system travel slower than expected?
