The temps are now projected to remain above freezing.
Also the latest RAP, it shows that precipitation will be on the increase across the south shore by 4pm and still ongoing on both north shore and south shore by 11pm tonight. This event is not over by any means. PATIENCE

same here. just went from flurries since about 7am to actual snow showers. pretty cool when you live where we live. to the northerners this is probably like a summertime thunderstorm

With that said, certain areas could end up with nothing, welcome to winter weather forecasting.
That is crazy talk
Anyone reporting in from McComb over to Hattiesburg in the LandMass? They are cashing in it looks like.
Also, best dynamics of the day moving through SE La. Should see radar respond, esp down towards NO.

I'm not going to call it a "bust" until around 7pm. If the radar returns are minimal, the likelihood of anything significant is decreased by a lot. I still believe that SELA needs to be patient, the original time line for them is intact.

Steady dose of sleet coming down here, but not yet accumulating on ground.
Posted on 1/28/14 at 12:56 pm to StraightCashHomey21
Good bit of ice coming down near Coursey and Airline right now.
Posted on 1/28/14 at 12:57 pm to 3HourTour
Yep. In BR..it's happening
Posted on 1/28/14 at 12:57 pm to Mr. Tom Morrow
I hear you. Just weird that I hear sleet is coming down and sticking in a neighborhood right by me then I look out and see nothing. Winter weather is a crazy bitch.
Posted on 1/28/14 at 12:57 pm to Aspercel
tons of ice pellets coming down now in Denham Springs. Everything is sticking.
Posted on 1/28/14 at 12:57 pm to 3HourTour
the movement from the west is very interesting, looks to be slowly moving to the BR area
Posted on 1/28/14 at 12:58 pm to bigberg2000
It sounds like sleet is hitting the window about 6 feet from me. But I am too lazy to get up and look.
