Anyone knowledgeable in the field of wine

After the third flight of wine, your judgment would be impaired.

I was always taught to spit the wine out on the floor of the tasting room during a tasting. Most places I've been to have been ok with it.

Proper technique and modern etiquette dictate that you should swirl, sniff, then take a tiny sip.

If the wine is to your liking, wolf it. If the wine does not suit your palate, take the rest into your mouth and spit it into the room as conspicuously as possible to demonstrate your disgust.

I didn't ask after I had already started

Best advice I felt I got was it depends on how much you're drinking that day.

Definitely agree with that. Surprisingly, keeping it to 3 well spaced tastings a day kept me from experiencing that.

We need to schedule some wine tastings. I like your rules the best.

Exactly why I said, If it’s good, I’ll swallow it.

Now if it’s not, I can’t be held responsible for what I might do.

Most places will have a spit bucket or a few on the table.

We went in April and did 3 a day, but set up VIP tasting through work so they just kept pouring at each one. One of my wife’s best friends was our guide at 2 of them.

I can do normal tastings at work. I’m in Napa to relax.

Guzzle - This is what the lady said "you aren't even tasting it".

I hate wine but like to get drunk for free

Do your coworkers give funny looks to those who never spit it out? Mine do.

Nah. And if we’re drinking a bunch of stuff I’ve had before, I’ll drink it all.

I pull samples to get distribution so I taste them with customers. Can’t be drinking on the job.
