Windshield replacement in New Orleans area

Any recommendations? 2014 Ford Explorer. I called auto glass and they said they don’t do explorers. Safelite quoted me $600. The windshield isn’t fancy, no rain detector or navigation.

My price would be $350 but I'm in north La. I've heard Glass America does good work but I don't know that for sure. Had a customer tell me not long ago who moved to my area from New Orleans that is who she always used. Their prices are probably gonna be more down there than where I'm at though.
ETA: Thank you SuperSaint

I have insurance so I only pay $50 when I need a new windshield. I usually go through 2 or 3 a year

Do windshields have to be ordered or can I drive my F150 up and get it replaced that same day?

I’ve been quoted $680, $580 and $480. One lady told me she always tells people to not buy explorers since the windshields are so expensive. It’s not the windshield itself it’s the molding you have to buy and replace. frick you rock on the interstate.

Is this covered under insurance? I got a couple nicks in my windshield fixed around Christmas and noticed a couple weeks ago I have a nice crack on the passenger side now.
I know I did not have to pay out of pocket for the ones I got fixed a while back, just curious if this too will be covered.

Usually if you order in the morning you can have it delivered that day. Someone calls me in the afternoon then it will be the following morning before I get it in.

I have a pretty high deductible so I’m coming out of pocket $500 either way.

I still don't understand why a glass shop won't work on Explorers. Usually we just keep extra moldings for the Fords on hand, they are many times gonna break when cutting out the glass.

Thanks I really appreciate it.

This may be a dumb question, is there any way to reuse the current moldings and just replace the glass?

Many vehicles yes but some like iirc the Explorers get torn up cutting the glass out.

Star Glass in Gretna on the Westbank expressway.
I had reduced my insurance because my car in old, windshield cracked and couldn't get a brake tag. Called State Farm, they told me that since I reduced my coverage it wasn't covered. They then told me that Starglass was the best place to go in the city if you are paying out of pocket. I was happy with the price and results.
