Just a little helping advice.

When you do install one, put a standing floor fan in front of it and it will push that cold air around so freaking efficiently, the camp will cool down extremely fast.

It makes it cold as frick at night and you will love it

I’ve run a samsung 12k for a year, approx 1000sf room upstairs, does good but got mold and in it quickly.

It’s a Chinesium pos but I’d reckon they all are.

Edit it’s loud, too.

I don't like GE. I've had numerous issues with the one I have in a shop building, and I've had to replace the control panel on a 2 year old unit that I put in for my aunt.

Frigidaire is the way to go for window units, if you can find one.

I have an LG and it works great. If there is an existing unit that isn’t working I recommend getting the updated version of that and replacing because the casing for it will be the same size.

We talking about a camp that might flood, you wear muddy boots in and has a 72 inch flatscreen

Or a camp where the locals rip the window unit out when you aren't there during the week?

I went with one of those ones that sits on the floor and has an exhaust hose that goes out the window. That way I could toss the thing in the car when I head home. Got it at Sam's.

Soleus saddle a/c 10k btu is a beast. It saddles the window which is even better than a U-shape imo.

Have a Midea u-shaped, its nice, it allows you to easily open the window in the fall and the spring. I'd get the 12k btu if the window will allow for it

How big is the camp?

Our camp is just a little over 1,100 square feet and a 12K BTU is perfect.

Bigger than u need and a dehumidifier.
I’m thinking a mini split when my wall pack goes out.
But the dehumidifier is a must.

That's why we mounted ours in the wall.
