Why is louisiana so strict compared to its neighbors?

Louisiana is 40% for some dumbass reason. Texas allows 25%. Mississippi is 28%. Arkansas 25%.

A warrant? No. All he needs is reasonable suspicion. As far as the shade of tint, I've heard of them having meters that they put on the window and it will tell how much light passes through. But if he stops you for tint it's highly likely that it was easy to see that you're illegal.

would him seeing you drive by count as reasonable suspicion to enter the vehicle? doesn't seem like it if he couldnt prove the tint was illegal because the windows are rolled all the way down and he can't see them anymore

1. Your tint is legal. Roll the windows up and show.

2. Your tint is illegal. You’re trashy and you deserve a ticket.

Knock all your glass out (making sure it all falls into the vehicle’s interior.

Fresh air for days.

If you get pulled over for illegal tint and you roll all your windows down by the time he walks to your car, you are getting a tint ticket.

Do you think the cop is going to be like “oh shite man, you got me good!” And drive off?

If you're not willing to reasonably comply and show your windows, I think he should draw his weapon and proceed to unload a round into each of your four tires. It's a shame cops should have to deal with this stupid shite.

I remember getting illegal tint on my car and thinking it was cool.

Then I turned 18.

I'm going to guess if you have illegal tint that you probably have huge trashy rims that cost more than the car is worth so you deserve a ticket just because...

this was a hypothetical that was presented me. i figured one of the local OT lawyers would have a concrete answer of exactly how it would go down for him before he tried it or decided to get an illegal tint

I think it would fit the obstruction of justice criteria here

Why don’t you just put a sticker on your back window saying they’re illegally tinted? It would be less obvious that immediately rolling all your windows down.

Then you want aggiehank. He specializes in telling you you're wrong about the law but he agrees with your position anyway.
