Maybe not a temple per se, but I did find the following on an engraved plate I dug up recently:
"And I said unto him, yeah, grow ye a neat goatee of salt-and-pepper gray, and cut thine hair in the style of a 35-year-old lesbian. From the ranks of the red-shoed and frozen-faced pick thy betrothed. Cultivate the ways of the soulful guitar and the rolled-up sleeve. Procureth thyself an overenthusiastic air-conditioner and much corrugated steel, and find thine flock before ye in a city new, in the land of the red stick. So it is anointed."

It will definitely happen in our lifetime. So much prophecy is coming true and most people have no idea.

For nearly 2000 years Israel did not exist and the world thought it would never exist again.
On May 14, 1948, that changed and prophecy has been being fulfilled at light speed.

there are thousands upon thousands of books written. you can start at the religion section at barnes and noble, and then go to a Christian book store after that. the catholic book store on Carrollton(maybe, I get my streets confused) in nola is great as well
if you mean why havent more actual bible like stories been written- it is because the bible was written by people that actually walked with jesus. those people all died before 100AD

Most of what comes after is interpretation or philosophical writings with no claim to the divine inspiration.
