Another sad story. This is happening every day, all over the country. What can be done?

quote:

The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a prowler at an abandoned house in the Springhill community. Corporal T.C. Vice and Deputy Robert Jordan arrived and checked the abandoned house and did not find a prowler. They went to contact the person that called in the complaint and found him passed out on his back porch with pills and methamphetamine beside him. He told the deputies that he found the drugs under the house. Deputies went on to find someone else unconscious in the shower with a syringe beside her and another female that was unconscious hanging off of a bed. There was also a 4 month old infant in the house that deputies turned over to Child Protection Services.

Candy Ryan, 44 years old, of 3464 Hwy. 490, Lena, was arrested for Possession of C.D.S. II (crystal methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Reggie Nelams, 39 years old, of 700 Tioga Road, Ball, was arrested for Possession of C.D.S. II (crystal methamphetamine) and Possession of C.D.S. II (Oxycodone) •

Trinity Tagert, 43 years old, of 127 Ashley Drive, Pollock, was arrested for Possession of C.D.S. II (crystal methamphetamine), 2nd offense Possession of C.D.S. I (marijuana), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of C.D.S. II (Oxycodone), and an outstanding warrant. •

Christina Bolgiano, 33 years old, of 127 Ashley Drive, Pollock, was arrested for Possession of C.D.S. II (crystal methamphetamine) with Child Endangerment, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and an outstanding warrant from Rapides Parish.

Legalize it. Let natural selection decide who lives and dies.

It's not really something you have a "solution" for

You’ll never be able to stop people from voluntarily putting whatever they want into their bodies, especially if they’re doing it compulsively.

So the answer is no, there will never be an answer.

Yes. The solution is much more drugs.

HottyToddy7 is correct.

Why can't these idiots just stick to weed, coke, and LSD like a responsible drug user?

LEgalize drugs and then allow hospitals to refuse drug related patients unless they prove the ability to pay their bill .

No sane society says "hey do whatever you want and then we'll require a third party to subsidize the cost of the choices you make"

Nope and don’t want to. Let the drug addicts kill themselves.

Those who aren’t fit or strong willed can fall by the wayside

Legalize it. Stop subsidizing it via healthcare and narcan. Let the users kill themselves off.

I’ll never understand why these idiots have to crank the dial up to 11 with heroin and shite.

Weed, coke, and booze can get you to like a 9

Start making them a lot deadlier and it will start to solve itself.

Narcan has been around a long time. Narcan is not the problem. It’s a solution to a temporary issue. The reason for the increased need for narcan is the problem.

The tipping point was making Vicodin/hydrocodone a triplicate. It made Vicodin as pricey as oxy and oxy rare. Now you have a spike in heroin usage and heroin cut with fentanyl or carfentanyl (sp?) which is crazy high potent and cheap. Like squashing a spider wth babies on its back.

We just need to make drugs illegal. That would solve all our problems.
