Yes, they are picking up iN BR. Only days they don't pick up is Thanksgiving and Christmas

You can honor people and still do your job... I’m willing to bet wars and sacrifices in the past don’t cross the minds of the majority of Americans on Memorial Day.

If the garbage is run by the city or county, probably not.
If it is a private company, then yes.
My trash pickup day is Monday and every holiday it gets picked up (both regular and recycle).

It’s been comical to follow the blue hairs on Facebook the last few days regarding this question.
In Jefferson parish they usually only do recycling in Memorial Day but no garbage.
So despite the fact that’s it’s been posted 4 or 5 times on two hood groups I follow as well as different platforms for JP, they still keep showing up asking about it. Someone will confirm garbage will be picked up. Even Parish officials are responding. But then aunt Velma will show a screen shot is the memo from years past that show no garbage pick up.
