First I’m seeing this. I googled this person and see she was facing attempted murder charges but can’t find much info after

Didn't she also fire one of the town's finance managers and then brought in one of her relatives with almost no finance experience at like double the salary?

She's been a running joke on TD for a while. I think she was in office for a whole year.
She demanded a raise once elected, when she got a pay cut she wrote checks to herself for the delta. Nakamoto followed her to her car with cameras once, and she ignored him. But her car also wouldn't start so she was stuck there with a reporter asking her questions.

She locked the long time city finance officers out of the city's accounts when they wouldn't cut her a huge check for no particular reason.
