Start a thread saying "drunk black man is involved in hit and run and then is shot after confrontation with hit and run victim."

That leaves out important details, such as so far there has been zero proof that Smith was armed or an actual threat to Hayes. When you add that info, most people will still side the "so far shown to be unarmed" person.

Maybe, but I don't think it's the main reason, and if you're honest, you don't either.

We all agree there, but what if, for some reason, you can't?

Those situations are different. This one is not one of those. Hayes could have left, instead he cowboyed up and will spend most of his life in jail because of it.

hopefully a full story gets told.

I'm not rooting for any victory on either side, as its impossible to win in this scenario. everyone loses

Was it ever proven who shot Smith's wife? I remember rumor that Smith may of shot his wife on accident first and that is why Hayes shot smith after hearing the gun shot? Something about Haye's gun only holding 7 shots possibly and him having 1 bullet left, 6 shots being in Smith, and so therefore the wife's GSW was in question?

the only gun that was fired was Hayes's

it hasn't been released or shown that any other weapon was fired

Ok. At what point is that sort of thing usually released to the public? Honestly asking here?

It would be an absolutely justifiable shooting if Smith is so wasted he goes back to his car, grabs his gun, struggles with his wife who doesn't want him to do anything, gun goes off during the struggle, and therefore Hayes thinks he's being shot at and shoots back.

generally it's not until trial... but due to the high profile nature of this case a lot of stuff has that wouldn't normally come out otherwise

Does this change that will Smith caused an accident and that Hayes attacked him with his vehicle in retaliation?

Shiiiiit.....if someone purposefully hit me with their car, I would feel like my life was threatened.

If smith pulled a gun from concealment on his person, it means he would have had a holster apparatus on him

So that's not going to be hard to prove if he drew his weapon

You're right, my bad.

They need to provide evidence of self-defense. The burden shifts to the prosecution.

I honestly 100% do. If he was any black man that wasnt a Saints player, no thread going multiple pages defending him would have made it to tigerdroppings. And if you were honest, you would realize that too

It's not farfetched to say a that this gun magically disappeared after all this and wasn't found at the scene and made its way back into a concealed area? It's not farfretced that this same magic gun also has been shown to have not been fired at all.

So that's not farfetched? Really?

What do concealed carry laws have to do with having a gun in your vehicle?
