Wut? This is nothing like that.

Zimmerman follows trayvon

Hayes follows smith

Zimmerman says he feared for his life

Hayes has said he feared for his life

Trayvon unarmed

Smith possibly unarmed

That was the only facts we knew then the trayvon case first broke. And people overwhelmingly took Zimmerman's story and defended him

Always refreshing to see nothing but emoticons instead of anything worth a shite. Looks to see who posted:

It seems very similar to the Trayvon case.

You're cherry picking stuff and leaving out a lot. Such as the video for starters.

is it legal to drive drunk with your gun in your car?

i dont think that makes it illegal either honestly. however it is illegal to drive drunk so.... the alcohol legalities come into play more for a CCL holder.

You could've stopped here.

Everyone knows it's a crime to drive while intoxicated. We're trying to find out if it's an additional crime to be driving drunk while in possession of a firearm.

Don't be an arse.

the only gun that was fired was Hayes's

it hasn't been released or shown that any other weapon was fired

Word around the Orleans paramedic circles (per a friend who is an Orleans paramedic) is that the gunshots Will's wife took came from friendly fire from Will. Obviously by accident.

What as fact? Hayes hit their car intentionally and hard.
He was upset because will hit and ran. Richard decided to hop out all big and tough and someone mentioned 'gun'. Raquel tried to step in between and break it up.

Look I was all aboard the "hang Hayes" train, until I heard the story from someone who was there.

Even though their spin was that hayes started it, I thinking getting out of a car and wanting to fight escalated the incident more than anything else before.

I think everyone acted wrongly, but I no longer feel it was murder or even manslaughter.

Yes. There has been no incriminating video in either case.

Face it. Smith was defended for being a Saint. To argue otherwise is a joke

yeah... from the OP's nola.com link...

Hayes is also accused of attempted second-degree murder for shooting Smith's wife Racquel following the April 9 chain-reaction crash in which Hayes' Hummer struck the Smiths' SUV on Sophie Wright Place near Felicity Street.

from the OP's nola.com link
quote:

Three guns were recovered from the scene: the gun police say Hayes used, a second loaded gun found in Hayes' Hummer, and a loaded handgun in Smith's SUV. Full ballistics results have not been public, but authorities last month said there were no indications Smith's gun was fired. Thomson has said Smith never took his gun out of the vehicle during the altercation.

I don't see anything that says it was intentional
