is it legal to drive drunk with your gun in your car?

I honestly 100% do. If he was any black man that wasnt a Saints player, no thread going multiple pages defending him would have made it to tigerdroppings. And if you were honest, you would realize that too
I covered this with the stuff you didn't bother quoting. The facts that have come out so far would have most people saying the dead person is the one wronged here. Don't think I can't see that you conveniently ignore the stuff that matters.

well it took NOPD 3 days to find the gun.
they probably just waited 3 days to release it to the media b/c it's part of an ongoing investigation

4 weeks to get a toxicology report
from WebMD

Getting a complete and accurate forensic toxicology test result can be a lengthy process for a variety of reasons, according to the College of American Pathologists and experts interviewed by WebMD.
There may be a lot of specimens that need to be tested, which means more testing time. And as an investigation proceeds, information about the possibility of another drug being involved may surface, so even more testing may be needed.
When the first round of positive tests have to be confirmed by the more sophisticated method, this may require sending out the specimens to more specialized laboratories. And that adds to the delay.
"Four to six weeks is pretty standard," Magnani says of the time line for forensic toxicology testing. Besides the time needed for painstaking analysis and confirmation, she says, there could be a backlog of tests that need to be done at a particular laboratory.
I hate it that people just want to shite on the NOPD investigation just b/c it's the NOPD

are you implying the gun was planted in smiths ride?
No, but I can see that you can't read.

My friends are friends with the couple that was with Will Smith. Once I heard their story, I layed off this story.
To me, the passenger hopping out and ripping his shirt off and acting all "hos" is what escalated this. Though Hayes shouldn't have slammed the car, i can see why he was upset.

I found this from ciminaldefenselawyer.com

It is almost always a crime to possess a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or any controlled substance

I've always assumed it was illegal to drive drunk with a firearm in the vehicle, but I can't find a law saying it.

So I can't be drunk in my house with my guns? Because unless you can show that Smith's gun was on him and not just in his car, that's the same thing.

If smith pulled a gun from concealment on his person, it means he would have had a holster apparatus on him
Can boxers be considered a holster apparatus?

You've failed at both. Congrats I guess. Starting to see how you got downsized.
