the lead detective doesnt do everything on a case
for example, he doesnt do all of the forensic testing
so by asking the lead detective about the forensic evidence and him responding "i dont know" it makes him look like a fool to people that arent familiar with the process
and even though the forensic expert will testify on a different day, the defense attorney has already planted the seed that the lead detective is a fool and therefore the entire investigation is flawed

Pretty sure Airbags are not meant to deploy if your vehicle is rear ended.

Teh evidence at the scene of the shooting is going to weigh more than the contributing evidence, but everything that happened that night is part of the entire event and is evidence.
The victim having dinner?
This classic stuff out of the Defense playbook I've seen (and used) countless times. LOOK OVER HERE.
None of it matters.

There are no airbags meant to deploy for rear impact. For frontal impact each sensor has to read a G-force equivalent to a 12mph crash at each point. Side impacts had to measure 3-4 Gs of lateral force to operate.
I think these numbers are standardized for all American sold cars with airbags.

Honestly, some on this board play right into the classic tricks. Asking one person about the testimony the attorney knows will be elicited from the ballistics expert, as he has the report and the name of the person who tested it.
Exactly the same thing I said. I assume you're an attorney as well.
Lay people eat this stupid trick shite up like candy. Its almost too easy.

I don't think you're right here. That's what your seat belts are for. I can't say I've ever seen a rear ended car with deployed air bags. Off to Google

Im most interested in PT's testimony, if he actually saw what happened.

Similarly, frontal air bags should generally not deploy in rear impacts; however, if you are hit from behind and pushed into a car in front of you, that second impact to your car's front end may justify deployment of your air bags

This is going to be intense, and probably last a few hours.

Typically, the pellets (yes, that's what they're called in the ballistics world) are recovered and sent to crime lab, and if the case was already cleared by arrest, the results will go straight to the ADAs screening the case for indictment. The detective doesn't test anything, he doesn't necessarily care about what the results are until he arrives for motions (if necessary) and he won't testify to what the results were. If the ADA would have asked for the result on direct, fuller would jump up and scream "hearsay" because the detective has no direct knowledge of it.
The defense was given a ballistics report with the name of the examiner. That expert will be called and will give the results of all the comparisons. There's a reason the GJ returned an indictment on that count.
Fuller is asking a question the guy can't answer from the wrong person to make it seem like there's a gotcha moment.

The airbags will not get deployed if some one hits the car from the back.
Airbags are deigned to keep you from hitting the dashboard or steering during sudden deceleration. In case of a rear collision, there may be acceleration instead of deceleration. For curtain airbags side sensors are used. The airbags for driver and passenger airbags are in the front, much behind the front bumpers.

Not sure why you're laughing,
quote:
However, in higher speed front-end crashes, front airbags deploy to protect your head and chest as they move forward. Front airbags usually don’t deploy in rear-end collisions, side impacts or rollovers.
I was in a car dead stopped leaving a Saints game that was hit by a car going over 50 mph from the back and the airbags didn't go off

"I deem this to be inadmissible to the court."
don't bring others "pasts" into this if Smith's past won't be indulged in.

Typical sleezy shite, does it hurt fuller when this gets squashed by examiner later on?
