Temps past week and forecast for the next week is downright disgusting for December. Someone talk me off the ledge

The pattern is gonna flip in about a week. Part of this flip is going to see the SE ridge (which is keeping it hot) erode and allow for cold shots into the South.

Its coming.

Though timing aint exact.

Predicting a day three plus weeks out is a fools errand.

But, odds of a chilly christmas are higher than those for a warm one. IMO.

It's supposed to go back to seasonal temps here in Georgia next week. Nothing drastic but highs in the 50's and lows in the 30s

Hopefully soon. I just bought a new sweater I want to strut around town in.

Shorts and flip-flop weather I reckon.

I prefer being in this unseasonably warm pattern now. This gives the pattern time to flip which there are hints of. It doesn’t mean a white Christmas or record lows but maybe we can avoid a Christmas Day with a high of 80.

Went cycling and running this afternoon in short sleeves and broke a good sweat. I will take this in Dec any time. Can save the fire pit wood for Feb.

No. Climate change. Watch CNN. They’ll explain it to you thoroughly.
