I don’t really want this to happen quickly because I don’t have a dual monitor set up or anything like that

Working from home would suck

I live less than 5 minutes from the office so I’d be one of a handful of people able to go in. Might be nice.

I work 4 miles or so from mine. I actually wouldn't like working from home everyday. I'm an introvert but still like getting out of the house and interacting with people most days.

I can work from home on an as needed basis but I rarely do it.

No most people don’t work when the boss is down the hall you think they are suddenly gonna work harder when the boss is miles away. GTFO of here with the nonsense.

I don't want full time work from home but I'd love the flexibility to do it a couple of times per week if I wanted to.

The nature of my position has me meeting with clients (who are boomers too and still don't to do much remotely) and there are times it would be easier to work with co-workers if I'm standing there next to them. Screen share and video chat can only go so far.

Honestly, 2 days a week from home would be good.

Same here. I’m not built for working at home. Working in the same place I sleep and lounge doesn’t go well for me.

Sounds like you work some place inhabited by dinosaur era managers that keep track of a employee’s hours in the chair rather than what they produce.

I've done it for a week a few times. I had to get out of the house at lunch and after work or I started getting stir crazy.

My wife and kid would walk in the door and I'd be ready to go

Yep. My home office set up is legit but there are some key facets of my work that are just easier and faster when I can walk down the hall.

And yea I'm not 100 on permanently linking my workspace with my home.

Full time work from home is like unlimited PTO in my eyes. Sounds great on paper, but can produce some negative results that I'd rather avoid.

I have 3 24" monitors, and it's nice.

I think open space office designs started the conversation. You really only need to be in house for decision making in cross functional team meetings when it is not an easy decision or not data driven. Helps to be able to read people. Otherwise, with the tech now, even just FaceTime and an emailed slide deck, remote is very efficient if you are self motivated.

Working from home doesn’t mean you have to work “at home” They have these amazing things called laptops that are portable computers. You can take them with you and do your work elsewhere.
Depends on what you do. I’m on the phone most of the day and need a quiet environment.
