I know the city can dock her pay and all, but could she face criminal charges if she doesn’t pay back the city? It would be great to see that happen, but I’m no legal expert so I have no idea what can happen to her over this

No. Her base doesn’t care about this. No one will hold her accountable… end of story.

A BLM march will probably be organized and destroy the city even more.

It would probably be a civil issue rather than criminal.

One can only hope the ghost of PGT Beauregard rises from the grave and throws her off a tall building

So what. They don’t decide legal/criminal matters.

The city needs to garnish her wages, and closely monitor future expense reports to reject further fraudulent expense items.

When she gets stuck with a $4000 tab for a first class seat, she’ll start flying coach.

No but the city council is scared of angering her base since they want their vote when its their turn to run for mayor

how's about taking away her city charge cards? apply for travel itinerary and have it reviewed for approval/disapproval, sounds like the bitch is on permanent vacation on Nola's tab

She'll go to jail, but probably not until her term is up one way or another.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

Long line of Louisiana politicians who push the envelope but ultimately don't do anything quite illegal enough to go to jail.

Where does the “city council is scared of her” come from. Most of the council has gotten in her way whenever they can. They filed suit and shite down her Wisner trust BS. If she doesn’t pay the 30k back they will dock her pay in November. There is only so much they can do. The council can’t remove her from office.

They were before she became a lame duck. None would frick with her because the powers that be wanted her to stay mayor.

Now it seems Latoya has lost a lot of her cover.

what

the city council has been pretty aggressive against her and has gone very anti-mayor's office.
