totally unscientific but the dogs I have seen missing a rear leg seem to get around almost as well as four legged ones
probably can't run as fast but how often do they need to? like measuring an OL's 40

If you haven’t seen it yet, you have to watch “Owen and Haatchi” on E:60 on ESPN.
(Haatchi is a 3-legged dog.)

Three legged dogs, especially with two front legs are really fast and agile still.
My granspa's dog lost it's leg in a coyote trap, and lived on 11 more years.
Though three legged dogs will get arthritis, of course now they make wheelchairs.

Once he heals from surgery, we are going to introduce him to the family (3 kids, 1 old choc lab and a cat) and see how it goes.

Your wife sounds like a beautiful woman.
No need for pics!

It's 3 legged, it'll run just fine.

Better a three legged dog than a 3 legged pool boy
I clicked just to see how this joke was going to be articulated. Well done.

What did the 3 legged dog say that walked into the bar?
"I'm looking for the man that shot my pa"

Always wanted a three legged dog for some reason. Seeing the heart these dogs show is cool. They don't know they have a handicap. Inspiring to me. Plus, I just love dogs.

I was upset when we had to amputate one of my dogs legs. But the vet told me that all dogs are born with 3 legs and a spare.
She was right. It’s been several years and his quality of life is fine. Little shite can still dig and everything. It is his front left.

Look at it this way, if your life crumbles and you decide to write a country song about it, you've got a three-legged-dog to at least get a line out of, maybe a whole chorus.

Please let his name be lucky

Rear leg missing will not slow that pup down.
