Wife picked up golden doodle puppy over weekend

We went to Nashville for vandy, uga this weekend. While there, my wife found a puppy on Craigslist she had to have, negotiated with me to the point where it is her Christmas and anniversary gifts for this year.
Any of y’all have one of these designer dogs and what are they like?
Her’s is an f1b, meaning the dad is a golden doodle and mom a poodle or vice versa

My brother has one that is terrible.
I only partially blame him and his lack of training skills. Plus, it’s ugly with beady little eyes.

There's a reason these dogs are so popular. You are mixing two phenomenal dogs together. You have the potential to have a hypoallergenic, extremely intelligent, good natured dog.

Golden doodle are great dogs. With correct training and patience it can be the best family dog you'll ever own

They are dumb dogs. They don’t look good either. I don’t get the appeal. But have fun with it

Goofy looking. But with some training they are great dogs. We have a 3 years old female that has been a great dog. But yes I do call her a design mutt.

Mines a great dog. Happy, healthy, athletic, smart, and still goofy as can be. A lot of factors go Into that - no guarantee on yours.

We have a two year old mini golden doodle...she is an absolute pain in the arse.

Personally I don’t find the attraction of these dogs and think the cross breading/ in breading whatever they do makes them a half bubble off. Everyone that has one doesn’t notice they act goofy and look funny. My mother in law has 2 of them from some “ high end” breeder in TX, the whole fly over to get the dogs and get them back here they are “ part of the family” bs. Funny thing is the second one that was supposed to be from the same blood lines etc looks completely different and is twice the size of the original one. Both are part retard. Anyway good luck with yours.

All golden doodles are not equal. If you have a shitty Sire or Dam there is a chance you get a shitty offspring. Just like labs or anything else.
