No it doesn't work that way. Trump has made it very difficult to become a US citizen. After we were married she had to apply for her green card just like someone immigrating here. Even that is not guaranteed because you have to undergo an interview and they reserve the right to reject your application. Full citizenship takes approximately 10 years.

A girl that worked for me introduced us. After a few dates I found out that her dad was a client I was calling on 5 days a week. That made those client visits a little uncomfortable for a while.

Basically how the process has always been

I am going through it right now and my wife already had a B1/B2

Yea I don't think the process has changed much but the amount of people who are turned down has increased.
