Was there some TD poll asking for personal stories that I missed?

You probably wouldn’t feel the same if you would have watched the ultrasound while he killed your child.

And you may not know this, but a lot of doctors are a little too quick to the draw recommending abortion and overstating how hopeless the situation is. My wife worked with a doctor that used to see women who’d been told their child’s situations was “almost certainly fatal” or something all the time. When a doctor recommended abortion, this guy was someone they would go to to get a second opinion because he was pro life. And a lot of the time, the initial doctor was flat out wrong and the baby was just fine.

i keep seeing posts like this amd on facebook. I'm pretty sure most of the abortion "bans" and trigger laws including Texas and LA have medical exceptions for babies that are known to have fatal illnesses/conditions. So, nothing changes in these stories.

A lot of states that have effectively banned abortion now still allow it in case of maternal mortal danger* or almost certainly lethal fetal anomaly....hell, even Alabama allows those two exceptions.

I am curious though if there is any state that doesn’t allow these two exceptions.

Edit: *Though, I suspect many have obstacles in place to ensure that the abortion is being performed for these reasons and not others...and there will probably one day be a case of a needed operation being held up because of red tape.

The basic problem we had is that once the baby was born in the state of Texas we had no say in what would happen. If the state wanted to attempt to keep the baby alive through whatever means necessary we had no say.

Absolute bullshite

You can not actively kill somebody but you are allowed to let someone die without “heroic lifesaving measures.”

Total BS post, you don’t have to go to a abortion provider to terminate a late term pregnancy because of issues with the baby that will likely be fatal. It can be done by most OBGYNs in a normal hospital delivery setting. My first wife and I unfortunately experienced this.

The majority of abortions are not for cases like yours and are more out of greed because they were irresponsible

Right. So the only real argument are for those who are not in a financial or social situation to rear a child...for the first we offer a lot government assistance for those who truly need the help and for the latter...well tough shite, you may not get to keep going on the same career path you were. Personal responsibility.

Ok cool, adopt instead of killing babies. You want a kid, can’t have a kid, adopt a kid. Problem solved.

The abortion doctor who was aborting late term pregnancies with "no medical issues" was an usher at his church?

Interesting

Long story short:
Your old lady got knocked up by Tyrone and y’all came up with a bullshite story to tell folks so you wouldn’t feel guilty about pulling little Rone out by a coat hanger.

My cousin had an abortion earlier this year because some of the organs of the fetus were growing outside of it’s body.

My daughter’s best friend was BORN this way and is now a perfectly healthy, active, and incredibly smart teen. It’s best to leave life in the hands of the one who created life.

How could anyone possibly downvote the OP.
Guy shares with us one of if not the most difficult thing he ever had to deal with .

I’m prolife myself but all OP was trying to do was share a very deep personal experience .

In defense of the OP, the doctor was famous and murdered.

There is another side to abortion that doesn't make the news.

Because cases like this, rape and incest make up a minuscule portion of abortions. The vast majority are lazy people who don’t want to be “inconvenienced” by their poor choices.

He aborted a 26 week old baby who he admits had a chance to live because he didn’t want to relinquish the right to decide if it was killed after birth. Add in that the abortion was performed by perhaps the most famous advocate of and performer of late term abortions in US history and it should be pretty obvious.

The argument is over where lines are drawn.

Birth control
Euthanasia
Murder

Roe was absurd and forced values on the nation with no basis in history, culture, reason or law.

It was a stain on our country for its brazen lawlessness.

Each community can decide on their own, and we can create communities where we share values.

That is the only solution.
