Oldest trick in the book.

I wasn’t thinking the oldest trick in the book, but perhaps one that is pretty old.

Should I do a test and buy her some earrings that look like they are gold, and then see if she gets an allergic reaction? Let’s say she isn’t allergic, would she be able to tell the difference between gold and imitation gold?

I could always buy the gold ones and have them in my back pocket, if things go bad. If things go well, I could return them.

What do you think?

allergic to all metals except gold
Mrs. FCP (pics on onlyfans) says that her skin causes silver to tarnish. Not exactly an allergy, but she wears white gold instead because of that.

Sounds legit…probably allergic to riding in a car that’s not a Mercedes, too!

It's the nickel in base metals that cause the problem. It is common. Even sterling silver is not pure and has some nickel alloy in it.

My wallet feels kinda sick when it's empty... I try to feed it but alas. So my wallet is usually hungry, depressed and listens to the blues a lot.

Yes, and it’s fairly common. Typically due to a nickel allergy or, less commonly, chromium.

If you’re allergic to either, you can have reactions to stainless steel. Although higher-quality grades of stainless steel will be better, as they don’t leech as much nickel. Nickel allergies are more common in women, presumably because a new piercing is a wound so your immune system is active.

Sterling silver is a crapshoot because they alloy the silver with all kinds of stuff. So a lot of women with any history of sensitivity will avoid it altogether. My wife won’t wear sterling silver earrings but will wear surgical stainless.

I’m not sure how many women who won’t wear sterling silver actually have a legit allergy (e.g. have experienced real contact dermatitis). It could be that some of the oxides are just minor irritants. I have an actual nickel allergy and can’t even wear a stainless watch anymore without breaking out.

lol how fricking convenient. Does she have a peanut allergy? If so I’d commission a pair of gold peanut dangles… then never get laid again

Yes. The metal in watches, belt buckles, etc makes me break out. I can only wear gold jewelry as well.

Very common - but just means the posts and there are lots of "gold plated" options.

Mine has a nickel allergy. Apparently 14k gold triggers it as well. She can't wear her wedding set anymore. Pretty annoying

Replaced the wedding set last year with 18k and so far no more dermatitis. I suppose it was worth it.

Yep.

I can wear other earrings, but only short term. My ears get red and swollen.

I usually just forget to wear any

My daughter used to have to paint the earrings with clear nail polish and that always seemed to help.

Stealing this! Thanks.

Yeh it’s common. I think if you put clear nail polish in the post of fake gold ones it will protect the ear from getting irritated.
