There are videos all over YT of "1st amendment auditors" . These people just go around filming from public locations and hope the popo stop them. Cop asks what are they doing, what's your name, can see some ID. Usual answer is I don't have to answer questions.
Cop proceeds and keeps pushing to which the person will state "what reasonable and articulable do you have that I committed a crime"?

You might want to go read Maryland v Wilson and reevaluate your statement.

You miss the part of the video where they said the guy is blind because this same PD waited 3 hours to render aid after someone attempted to murder him?
You mean he shot himself in the face with a shotgun trying to commit suicide? His ticky tock, which only has 25k subscribers not over a million like these pieces of trash said to the cops, has a pinned video of what he thinks happen to him. It is quite clear this dude is extremely uneducated. You can't even follow what he's trying to say he's so uneducated.
And even if you want to believe his story, what the frick does it have to do with acting like a complete a-hole for a routine traffic stop? You think they are the first dumbasses to get pulled over for something stupid and then asked to have the car searched? It's happened to me as an idiot teen twice. I didn't have anythign in the car either time, yet i didn't act like an entitled moron berating the cops the entire time and when they were done and found nothing, i was on my way without any ticket of any sort. Complete BS stops, not made worse by me acting like a dumbass.
We all know you can run into bad cops, but acting like they did is just stupid, and they are probably lucky their encounter wasn't worse than it was b/c of how they acted.
I've argued with cops before, but never in such a disrespectful manner like these two pieces of shite did.

Bad policing obviously. Pre-textual stops based on the constant running of tags and awful judges legislating from the bench eroded freedom of movement in this country.
Anytime you get in a car a cop will run your tags and if they are curious, or have a hunch they will follow you and create a reason to pull you over. Then go on a fishing expedition to extend the stop so they can search your vehicle.
I've seen people followed for 10 miles and pulled over for a hanging pine tree air freshener.
Pulled over for an air freshener.
I was pulled over about 5 years ago for not using turn signal for 50 feet before changing lanes.
It was pre-textual stop made up based on them running my tags. I was in my brother's car and his license was suspended at the time.
The cop had zero idea who was driving the car and invented a reason to pull me over. It was a hunch and he needed something, so he created something like they all do.
When I gave him my license he went on a rant about who's car is this why am I driving it and if this my real identity etc.
The only time I've ever had a gun pointed at me in my life is by my own government. I've lived in some of the most dangerous cities in America. Birmingham, Memphis, St Louis etc. A scary Nashville metro PD officer pulled a gun on me and ruined an expensive Ralph Lauren Purple Label sweater of mine.
Nobody consents to have their government treat them this way. This is supposed to be a free country where people have rights. Every time anyone asserts their rights the govement enacts violence upon them.
Then half the country backs them saying you should just comply with tyrannical govement orders. These are the same people who refused to wear masks though or get the vaccines.
They love big government when it oppresses people and hate big govement when it attempts to actually help people.

Sounds like you broke a law and law enforcement enforced it. Did he give you a ticket? I bet he let you go with a warning.

The cop tells a paraplegic to crawl out of his car on the side of a busy highway a night. You are ok with that?
Why did the first two cops who walked up to the driver and passenger window not mention anything about an odor or marijuana for the first 5 mins they talked to the driver?
Only when a 3rd cop who tricks the wife into letting her window all the way down by pretending to pet the dog does anyone mention an order of marijuana. 10 mins into the stop.
Why was there zero marijuana found?
Your view is really warped.
I bet you would have gassed Jews if the government told you.

So dumb, just let the cops break the law and sue later.

Of course he did. It was a b.s stop. I went down to records and requested how many times a ticket had been written for that infraction in all of Davidson County and an astounding zero records came back.
Over 700,000 live in Davidson county and 17 million visit annually and not 1 time has a ticket ever been issued for that infraction. At least not in 2019/2020
It was an illegal stop. He ran the tag which came back to my brother, who's license was suspended and fabricated a reason for a stop.
I filed a complaint against him and of course they investigated themselves and found zero wrong doing. Since he did not cite me for the infraction they would not give me his dashcam video. I could have pressed the issue, but didn't want to hire a lawyer to press the freedom of information request.

how was he supposed to know you weren't actually your brother with the suspended license without stopping you?

You don't get to stop a car based on a hunch. That's why he fabricated the fake traffic stop. The law is very clear.
He's doesn't just get to ID someone because he has a hunch.

you just said when he ran the plate, it came back to your brother, who he could see had a suspended license...that's not a hunch, genius

I can't get out of the car I don't have my wheelchair.
How the hell did he get in the car?

AFTER the guy threw himself out of the car onto the ground for dramatics
There's no way you're serious right now
I feel bad for the driver and passenger on a personal level, but they were acting like asshats.

You don't get detain a person because the owner of a car has susp license. The owner is not the only person allowed to drive the car. Are you dumb? He has no idea who is behind the wheel. It's a hunch. The threshold for reasonable suspicion needs to be met for an investigative detention. Which is what a traffic stop is.
If my driving privileges are revoked doesn't mean my car can't be used.
If that were the case he wouldn't have needed to fabricate the fake stop.
It's the same reason the cop in Jacksonville that punched the guy in face made up the no lights when it clearly wasn't raining anymore.
He ran the tags and saw the guy license was suspended and fabricated a reason to pull him over. He just happened to be right about his hunch, but it wasn't lawful.
It's why he'll be sued and the city will settle for 6 figures.
