Spent the last 2 days putting my stuff up. Literally just finished putting the train set together that goes around the Christmas tree. I love hanging lights. My dad comes over every year and helps me hang them. Hopefully my son grows up loving christmas as much as I do

In the sarly 80's we lived in Monticello and that was the place to go in BR to look at lights. Hell there were people parked on the medians so they coukd get out and look at the houses. The line to get in and out of the subdivision was insane.

We used to ride through there and you are right. Then we went over to Red Oaks to look at the child molester's house that decorated. Can't remember his name then he moved out to Livingston somewhere.

Can't go to Monticello now.

If you put them up, then you have to take them down after you are sick of Christmas.

But, as Dan said on Roseanne, "You gotta have something to do on Easter weekend."

Guy up the road from me has his entire yard filled up with inflatables. There are probably 40-50 around his house. About 3/4 mile north of Big Lee on Bonnabel

Home ownership is down. A lot of people are barely scraping by since wages have stagnated over 2 decades. Rich neighborhoods have them stil in full force (You can see them if the gates aren't locked)

I'm a single man. I am skeptical of single men who put up holiday decorations. That's up there with owning a cat.

Renters don't hang up christmas lights on the outside of homes and apartments they don't own. It's just that simple.

When we were renting apartments we put lights on the balcony. Now that we own our second house, we have lights outside as well, and we're Atheists. Christmas lights are awesome and our son loves them.
