im good with scientific notation. what I cant stand is the bastardization of units of measurement for properties

It can't possibly be that hard for you to understand.
1.01 x 10^9= 1 then there are 9 number behind the 1 010, 000, 000
1 x 10^-1.. Its going to be less than 1

I am glad I rarely have to deal with molarity/molality, sure it is in almost everything I deal with but thankfully we have standard conversions and dilutions so I don't have to worry with that part unless we are getting in the weeds with something.
