I had started doing beginner krav maga workouts ( it was basically an hour of punches, kicks, flurries, and stretches), and loved it, but when I lost my job, I couldn’t afford it to keep the membership going.

If you train you can add more muscle and it takes less time than working out.

Now I definitely believe there’s something to it. Doesn’t seem far fetched at all to me. Is it the rule, of course not, but is it a specific concept all its own…….y’all are guessing no and I’m guessing yes.

On a serious note, I enjoy that most people can’t handle it and don’t put in the hard work. I enjoy being not average and that gives me less competition

That's the problem. You think there is only one way to good health and fitness and lifting makes you better than everyone else. There are countless ways to get healthy and fit but people have been programmed to believe the only way is to lift or run on a tread mill and to join a gym.

I have found with treadmills the best thing to do is immerse yourself in a podcast so that you're not even thinking much about the run.

That's great if it works for you. The important thing is that you found what works for you.

Well, it works for me, but I think it can work for everyone. Whenever I try to run with no podcast or music, I'm bored and just staring at the clock and the thoughts of how tired I am creep into my mind.

when I listen to a good podcast, the first I glance at the time, my run is almost over.

Do people like you really think it’s inevitable or at least takes a freakish effort to not be so fat? It’s like almost every older person living in a first world country that’s married with kids is some giant fatass. Being a little overweight and can stand to lose a few pounds? That’s understandable.

Not saying you have to have a six pack. But unless you have some rare genetic issue, there’s no excuse for most people to be really fat. At the very least you can fix your diet. There’s one of the biggest reasons Americans are so fat compared to many other countries. Many Americans eat like shite

I’ve got a plan to elevate my heart rate to you exercise levels all while sitting stationary in a chair or on a bed. Maybe a squirm here and a shiver there. Boom, done deal. Do that once, maybe twice a day, I’ll be in the Ironman within a year.

Everyone is different. If I am seriously in to my work outs no music. When doing a light work out I listen to music.

I agree. I was speaking in terms of weight loss. Yes, everyone should stay active, but if you are still eating garbage every day, then you aren't healthy.
