Money changes hands without taxes, so government bans it.

What is your preferred way to watch someone destroy their life?

Also, imagine if it were legal, it would be mass craziness :)

It was legal up till about 2010ish and it was a great way to waste a weeknight playing a $10 tournament on the couch while watching tv.

I got 2nd place in a $10 dollar $5k guaranteed tourney on Bodog back in the day when I was in college in like 2006.

I won $1000 dollars, proceeded to lose it all on the cash game .5/.10 tables over the next few months. The withdrawal process back then was insane.

Nowadays you can just cash out in BTC and send it to your Coinbase wallet.

It wasn’t legal then but the feds didn’t do anything to shut it down until one day… they decided to shut it down

Online poker was fun.

But what I really miss was a simple $25 /freeze out tourney in a bar room. 20 to 50 people. But hey, LA made that illegal too:” the bars are making illegal money”. This state blows. Just make sure your inspection sticker is up to date though.
