The album?

I came here wondering wtf you we’re talking about and was expecting an explanation of some sort.

Then i realized you have no substance to your post and left album COVER out of your post.

You’re just an idiot.

Moving along.

The inside cover of the Stones “It’s only rock and roll” album was pretty sick.

If you took apart the CD case for Tool undertow you would find this hidden gem.

100%

Not just Pilgrims either. All of the super orthodox types who wanted to flee the Church.

The original cover art of GNR's Appetite For Destruction was interesting.

The original cover art of GNR's Appetite For Destruction was interesting.

For those wondering, The original cover was the cartoon with the rape robot getting blasted by the knife tooth robot that's inside the liner on the vast, vast majority of albums. Appetite for Destruction did not hit for a year after it's release with the original artwork. When the album was released, the Mom Brigade shite their collective pants over it almost instantly. Geffen reissued the album with the original cover moved to the spot where we all know it from inside of the liner and the iconic cross and skulls cover on the front.

The original artwork was a real painting from the late 60's/early 70's sometime. Axl Rose saw it in a shop on a postcard or some shite like that when they were still urchins on Sunset Strip and was able to contact the painter and convince him to let them use the painting as the cover art for their new album.

The title of the painting?

Appetite for Destruction. The album was 100% named after its cover art. There isn't a single title that could be better for that album by that band at that time, so they got permission to use the name as well.

If you have a copy of the album with that original artwork, it's worth a buck or two.

I knew this part

Didn't realize this part. I thought they just changed covers. I was too young to know the difference in the 80's.

I bought the tape with original cover the day the album came out. Me and a couple of high school buddies were fans from the beginning. When Paradise City finally hit, and everyone was suddenly a fan, we basically were like "Where the frick have you guys been?"

If you're offended by that, I suggest you never view the original Blind Faith album cover.

None of these come close to the original Scorpions Virgin Killer album cover.
