It was -12 with wind chill like -20 something here in Grand Rapids Michigan last night.. been snowing every day for about a week now, we get the same lake effect that Chicago does. It’s been BRUTAL. My furnace can barely keep up.

The air is cold plus there’s at least half a foot if not more snow on the ground which creates radiant cooling. The air is the same in Alexandria 14° as it is in Lafayette 6 Degrees but the difference is Lafayette had much more snow on the ground, that’s the radiant cooling Makes it colder.

Global warming has moved north? There will be ice bergs in the Gulf of America within five years.

Lowest I saw was Opelousas today at 0. New Roads was at 3. Baton Rouge got down to 7. And it's gonna suck today because ALL of those areas are under at least 6" of snow. They will be under some snow tomorrow morning too.

I found it was a dry cold. Not bad at all. Was expecting worse when I went outside this morning. 9 degrees.
