Why is Snopes considered an unbiased authority on topics?
Honestly curious what credentials or resources they have to be factually accurate and unbiased.

It isn’t. Known to be left leaning

The same reason SPLC is cited as an unbiased authority on racial issues

They have been discredited for a long time. Right around the 2016 election that site was a complete liberal shill

If it’s on the Internet, question it.

They sort of were for a while. They usually do a decent job of finding evidence to support their conclusions, but the problem in the last 4 years or more is that they pick and choose many more rumors that favor the left rather than the right.

Don’t know about that. Just read an article from that site and they cited SPLC as a source for proving how bad White nationalism is in this country.

Snopes and J.D. Power are both bogus. Fake. No credibility.

They used to be decent, then they went full retard with their Trump Derangement Syndrome and became another propaganda tool for the left and have lost all credibility they once had.

I always used to use them to send a quick summary to my stupid arse old country relatives who sent the dumb email chain things to me.
Now I guess they have gotten into the politard game and aren't as reliable so I'm not sure anymore if they can be trusted all of the time.
