I honestly didn't know fried chicken, watermelon, and collard greens was a black stereotype until I went to LSU. I'm a country boy and that's just what we ate, and I still do.

Millions of Blacks migrated out of the South ( for better jobs/ avoid Jim Crow) & the silly stereotype got identified with Blacks & not Southerners.

Fried chicken is the one that makes zero sense. I still haven't met a white person that doesn't like good fried chicken.
