How many could you possibly know

My wife and I lived with a friend that told us she was gay then brought a man over who is non binary. Long story short they are all on a shite ton of medications and I can’t help but to think that the whole “gender” debate is a mental illness.

Because they collect victimhood like Pokémon. They usually dwell in these bubbles of people that have fed into their delusions and amplified them, because instead of addressing the underlying issues they embrace them. And their communities need to be oppressed in order to validate themselves.
That’s why they find reasons to be offended behind every wiggling bush. Social media and these communities of victims validate them the more they feel oppressed. It’s a sickness that isn’t solved by mutilating your body or taking hormones.

Because gender dysphoria is a mental illness.
It is accepted because in 2013 (thanks Obama) it was redefined (gender anxiety) in the DSM for both financial and political reasons.
Short term it seems to work. However due to how recent the change has been, Currently there is still very little research in long term positive effects, if any, of reassignment surgery and hormone replacement. Certainly not enough research to go full bore but they did it anyway. And make no mistake, it is VERY lucrative.
I am studying to be a psychiatric provider and having reviewed literature I firmly believe that making it 'acceptable' had done little more than destroy lives and line the pockets of the unscrupulous.
As an aside, (as i am well aware it is meaningless sample-wise) I have met several older post op transgendered individuals, and every single one of them has regretted it.

Maybe don’t hang around so many of them

We didn’t have a choice for a while, but I can see how people get sucked into that way of thinking. Misery draws people in.

Because in order to be that messed up, you have got to be on lots of meds

Because misery stems from internal conflicts. Sustained misery is only supported by a distorted view of yourself and others. This distortion leads a person to seek acceptance in any way possible. It is most often found in the “newest trend” of society.
Rinse and repeat every decade or so.

You think? It's probably the reason they kill themselves at a much higher rate as well. They're playing out some sort of fantasy to try and make them feel better and eventually most of them come to the realization they're just unhappy and not really a different person.

I would imagine that a lot of docs just throw Rx's at these people because they don't know what else to do and they are really weirded out by them.

Mental illness?
This. If you say I’m a tiger trapped in man’s body you are deemed delusional and put on medication. If you say I’m a woman trapped in a man’s body you are now deemed normal and even encouraged. Wasn’t always like that.

Bc liberalism is a mental disorder
Posted on 5/8/20 at 6:50 am to Dolphin
Because if you looked like a male but felt like a female , you’d be screwed up too. That doesn’t fit into society, so people get depressed. Not that hard to understand.

because its NOT a mental disorder.
