Interesting plot twist.
My answer would be no, because a machine is what's keeping him alive. You're jist lettimg nature take it's course.

There are some interactions between humans and other humans that are inappropriate between humans and animals. Just take bestiality as a baseline.

It’s not that cut and dry, what if they are in a coma?

I mean, it depends. Are you talking some antifa freeway protesters or an innocent two year old?
Animal wise are we talking someone’s beloved dog or a shite eating yard destroying hog?
I can go both ways on this, so to speak.
I’d feel pretty bad if I hit a marxist and then an unsuspecting pig jumped in front of me.

You usually don't get insurance money, land and an inheritance from pets.
Extrapolate from there....

Hospice is our unspoken method for putting down humans.

Why can’t I get human meat in a grocery store?
This thread is dumb.

It would be open season on women if they didn’t have a pussy

Well that depends on your definition of humans as some libs don’t consider a fetus a human until it’s born, and it’s open season to abort.

I don't want to live with severe dementia, riddled with cancer, ect ect. I've seen how we keep husks alive, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Hospice is kinda like putting people down. Don’t kill em but pump them up so full of drugs they don’t feel anything.
Yeah, but it's a shitty alternative.
We had to put our dog down in January due to tumor on her kidney (it got big enough that it began distorting her stomach, the only outward expression was that she was slowly starving to death). It was an incredibly peaceful procedure, both my wife and I were there (our "pack") and were able to love on her while she just went to sleep.
On the other hand, we just buried my wife's grandmother after her being in a nursing home tottering on the edge of death for the last year and a half (she was in hospice for 3 months). It was stressful and painful for her and the family as one day she would be little more than a vegetable and then the next somewhat alert and conversive. Had she had the option, she would have chosen euthanasia herself once she got to the point where she couldn't even go to the bathroom without help (when you're in your 90's and at that point, you know there's no "getting well again").
It's a fricking shame our dog was allowed to go out with more dignity than a family matriarch.

You should be able to elect to euthanize yourself if your medical situation necessitates it.
I watched my grandfather die in agony from cancer and cancer treatment side effects. I doubt he would have made the decision. But some would.

No.
Pulling the plug is simply allowing nature to take its course. You did not kill him. You allowed him to succumb to whatever was killing him.

If I come down with a terrible disease like dementia and it strips me of everything. I want to have the right to call in a doctor to lethal inject me. I don't want my family to suffer the pain and anguish of watching me slowly fade away.

Having watched this with two grandparents, I agree. It's a slippery slope though. At what point is the person with dementia capable of making that decision coherently?
For me, I'd put it in my living will that once I was bed ridden and could no longer communicate, I would want to be put to sleep.
