I assume people are downvoting because of a typo? Because I absolutely agree.

I just looked it up.. approximately 5% of Americans do not graduate HS. And some of those go on to be relatively successful. But its just part of life. Most people graduate from HS.

I know its celebrating the next stage in life.. I guess, but if someone is an average student graduating.. What are you making a big deal out of it? Yay! Your kid was an average student. Congrats on not being below average?

Its the first major achievement for most of these young adults. It is an accomplishment to be proud of.

Time, cost and effort is worthy of recognition, and celebrating success is an important human feature. Underestimate that in life and will fall short in many ways.
