I never said anything about fraud....the things I mentioned were legally put in place by state governments in response to COVID....it helped the D turnout without a single doubt

So you think it should be harder for legal registered voters to vote because it helps Dem turnout when it's easier?

If it's not fraud you're worried about, what else am I to think it is?

Do you believe that anyone who is issued a state ID should be allowed to vote? 29 states don't think so because non-citizens, including illegals, can obtain IDs. That is one of the things they are trying to make Federal Law.

Do you believe that ballot harvesting restrictions should be struck down by Federal Law? That is another thing they are trying to pass.

Do you think the Federal Elections Commission should be changed to 3 Democrats & 2 Republicans rather than the current, bi-partisan, setup of 3 Democrats & 3 Republicans? That is another thing they are trying to pass.

Or are you just intentionally obtuse?

I don't know about your other claims, but this one is not accurate. The bill states no more than 2 from each party can serve on the commission, while the 5th is "independent", or not affiliated with either party. Obviously that last part is open to interpretation, but it certainly wouldn't establish 3 D's and 2 R's on the commission as you claim.

Ya, the "independent" will be someone just left of Chairman Mao, and you damn well know it.

More testing equals more positive cases. Look at deaths not positives

An "Independent" appointed by the Democratic Party. Totally.

Nowhere in the bill does it give the Democratic Party the authority to appoint that 5th person. That person is nominated by the President and is Senate confirmed. Your claim was wrong.

So the Democratic President and Democratic controlled Senate. Got it.

Like I said, the bill will allow the Democrats to setup a partisan committee rather than having the current, bi-partisan committee.

None of these laws want it harder for anybody to vote.

Rs want a ballot to have the most direct path from a willing voter and the counting machine with as few people touching it in between as possible.

So it will be a democrat.

And of course the democrats want to do away with a balance of power between the parties on the election commission. They really don't like having to follow rules they don't like, and this lets them be the ones that write the rules.

Whether it is or isn’t isn’t the point. The claim was the bill specifies 3 Dems and 2 Reps. It does not do that.

The result will be 3 Dems and 2 Reps, and you damn well know it. Which is why the bill was written the way it was, and why the Dems want to abandon the current balanced system.

Delta variant, people have gone back to normal since vaccine so more potential or spread, low vaccination rates in areas.

Pretty self-explanatory. Experts were predicting this spike a month or two ago, and this board laughed it off.

They didn’t predict anything. They said it would happen so… they can now say it’s happening. We’re not going back. And businesses or venues who decide to go back are going to struggle big time.

I never said anything about any laws state reps may be trying to pass.

He talked about how easy it was to vote by mail during Covid. I assumed the concern was illegal voting or other forms of fraud. He said no.

Sticking to this point is missing the plot here though. I'm arguing that it would be politically stupid to keep Covid restrictions around, because getting back to normal and a stable economy is going to be good for the party in power.

It's a hell of a lot easier than a vast conspiracy to rig an election.

The claim was that the Dems are pushing legislation that will allow them to stack the commission before midterms. This is exactly what will happen if it passes.

Even going the semantics route, you’re still wrong.

Spleen will defend it, even knowing he's wrong, because he agrees with it.

Republicans should never have equal say in anything in this country. Only the Democrats are smart enough and educated enough to lead us.

Just ask them.

You think it should be legal to allow absentee voting for 2 months and to send unsolicited mail in ballots to every voter? Also you think we should allow people to register to vote on the day of the election?

All that shite is dumb and has never been done in any real way before 2020 and COVID.
