re: Why is Chick Fil A so popular?

I'm 100% serious.
Better options for food, which I think tastes better also.
Southwest chicken salad is as legit as they come. McDonald's has gotten a lot better in the last 10 years or so.
It's easily the best fast food place imo

I put BK over McDonalds. Whataburger above all at that price range.

Nailed it. I know I’m not going to get caught in line for 30minutes bc of poor planning on their part or end up missing half my order.
Before Chick-fil-A’s rise, Wendy’s was my go to, even though the kids meal nuggets suck, I stood a better chance of getting quality service at Wendy’s over bk or McDonald’s
I’ll add, if Popeyes ever gets their shite together customer service wise, they’d give canes and Chick-fil-A a run for their money.

McDonalds has 2 1/2 cars in line, wait time = first half of the NBA Finals game. Makes it seem like their condiments are a brick of gold. Treat me like I am the stepdad they blame for their parents divorce."
This is the best reason. My daughters wanted McDonald's kids meals the other day so we went and it was like pulling teeth just to get a damn straw from the lady at the window.

Because they’re standing outside taking my order in 90° heat with a smile on their face.

Not gonna lie, we did Valentine's day dinner at burger king this year
Tgat whopper was tasty. They tend to put too much mayo though

Baptist based so all the do gooders feel like the profits are going to Jesus.

Same. To be fair, I'm not a big chicken nugget/tender person. I prefer burgers or pizza if I'm going the junk food route.
I also don't really have a schedule where drive thrus are required, so I guess I can't really say much. If I had to eat from the car for work reasons or whatever, I'd probably love CFA too. I did eat it quite a good bit when I was an LSU student.

Yet because their owner actually stands up for his beliefs people get mad that it’s different from their own.

I tend not to like drive-thru windows either, and will go in to order more often than not. Again, though, the customer service at CFA is simply above and beyond.
The comment about not caring if the server is your best friend is bizarre. Common courtesy and respect for your paying customers? You'd prefer it worse? "Shake machine broke...we ain't got strawberry" with the sneer that accompanies it, that's ok, just so long as they don't try to be your best friend...

I don't like that weird flame broil taste
My #1 fast food item is the regular hamburger at McDonalds. Like the ones you get in kids' meals.
Service doesn't really matter to me, as I am boring as hell and make 0 modifications to how something comes. I didn't even know you COULD ask for "no whatever, extra whatever" until I was 17. So I never have anything messed up.

"My Pleasure" vs just handing you your order, while not even acknowledging you

A fast food place where white people work
It's that regardless of race, they hire the sort of people who are willing to greet customers with "It's a great day here at Chick-fil-a, how many I serve you?" and respond to every "Thank you" with "My pleasure." My local CFA is largely staffed with Black teens/early twenties folks, but they're willing to live up to customer service standards and a trip there is always pleasant. Also CFA limits franchisees to one location so standards stay high. (Or at least they used to.)

Drive to your nearest one and find out for yourself

I’m not a fan of the lunch and dinner menu, but those chicken minis are the best breakfast food on earth other than Franks smokehouse

Granted I have only been to the Chi Fil A's in the Metairie area, but I have never had one of their employees say this to me. They are more courteous than the typical fast food chain, but that doesn't take much
