What political persuasion is against interracial marriage? It's not 1965.
Who said anything about being against it?
No this is about so many commercials having interracial couplings. If can't see and admit that this is done to make a social statement then I don't know what else to tell you.

This thread is evidence that conservative southerners currently find the idea of interracial or gay couples so distasteful that the fact that it is ever, at all, depicted in public means that it is "every couple in today's commericals" and that other people's lifestyles are being pushed on them. They can't accept that some people are different from them. The fact that some people exist and dare to not be publicly ashamed of it offends them. The offense itself is a whole other level of hypocrisy.

I always assumed whatever race or gender or age is in the commercial is the demographic they believe buys their product.

Yes. There is something wrong with that. What is so great about diversity? Why is diversity for the simple sake of diversity shoved down our throats? Japan seems to be doing just fine.

I don't mind seeing interracial couples on TV but I wish they were a more accurate representation of your typical black and white couple. The overwhelming majority of interracial couples are 300 pound trashy white women and thug looking black dudes. They aren't thin, educated, upper middle-class folks.

If true, where are the Asian and Hispanic commercials at?

But the US isn’t Japan. So unless you know of a way to make the US completely homogeneous race-wise, it’s probably a good idea for you to accept the fact that other people don’t look like you.

Nah, it's just that some people are more observant than others.

I never said I had a problem with it. I simply noticed a trend and asked a question.
Why are you getting so fired up about it?

That probably has a lot more to do with where you live than it does any real representation of the average interracial couple.

Here's a fun game. Name me one interracial couple that hasn't ended in divorce
Oj Simpson doesn't count

It's funny how merely asking the question sets these nerds off so much that they don their pussy hats to fight the internet.

I have lived in the south and currently live in the northwest. It holds true for both places.

Yep. I was just watching the football game and the Taco Bell commercial where the white chick eats all the food of the black dude she lives with.
