Oh that's for damn sure. He'll never officially come out of the closet due to his risk of losing all that.

Well, truthfully, I don't live on a lake. The other part fits.....

That's a bit harsh. But his hypocrisy is thick.

How did you conclude that from what I wrote?

You asked me, "Do you live in a million dollar mansion on the lake like him.....?"

I replied I don't live on a lake but the other part of your statement fits me.

Are you trying to say I'm a poor, black Baton Rouge resident?

You agreed with the part about St. George being a bunch of rich white folks leaving a bunch of poor black folks (the city of Baton Rouge) to fend for themselves. The lakes are in the city of Baton Rouge, thus, the lakes must be home to those poor black folks, yes? Unless there are actually rich white folks in the city of Baton Rouge and that whole argument is meaningless? Who knows, there are probably a few blacks in St. George too, hiding out til this all passes over.

Nope. I quoted the part of your statement I was referring to. The part about St George and poor black folks was not included in my quote of your post.

I got mugged near Gardere in the mid 2000's when I lived over there while I went to LSU. The area declined quite a bit between 2000-2010. I never felt very unsafe until the last year and a half that I was at LSU.

"But Holden says annexation would also mean the city is responsible for providing more services, which at this point is not practical, he says. “We have a top-rated fire district,” Holden says. “For us to provide free fire protection to Gardere would jeopardize that rating and would be cost prohibitive.”

Get your facts straight. It's nine acres and it's near Highland Road, not on it.
