Get your facts straight. It's nine acres and it's near Highland Road, not on it.
I just passed it. Didnt realize it was 9, sorry.

it was the PLACE to live in the 1980's

You asked me a direct question and I answered it. You didn't like the answer (once you eventually comprehended it).
That's too bad for you, not for me.

LSU South Campus has been annexed...

My lack of comprehension was based on having the nerve to question the words of a man who 'owns' 9 acres on Highland Rd. I wish I knew everyone else on TDs property situation, but unfortunately no one else has to talk about the property they own in a weak attempt to further their credibility. Thus, the $30,000 a year millionaire cliche is born.

Your thread sucked from the start with a false premise.

Nothing false about it. Kip has said that the City would not annex Gardere.

So now you're doubling down on your false premise?? That's not very smart.

You are correct. He doesn't want to have to provide services to the black folk that live there, but he's perfectly happy providing the same services to the casino dwellers and mall shoppers. Here's his exact quote:
"But Holden says annexation would also mean the city is responsible for providing more services, which at this point is not practical, he says. “We have a top-rated fire district,” Holden says. “For us to provide free fire protection to Gardere would jeopardize that rating and would be cost prohibitive.”

Don't worry LSURUssian which is kip Holden's buddy will take up for the kipper.
Bottom line the city wants to annex businesses but screw the people.
Once holden is out of office you will start to see the city having major budget problems. All that grant money will be gone and the kipper along with his buddies will be laughing all the way to the bank. He will leave the city finances in such a mess taxes will go up.
At this point the city Parish govt is trying to find ways to give their workers a raise and the money not there.
Hey capt obvious aka LSURUssian will tell you how you cannot spell correctly or comprehend. Funny he is to stupid to see to light of taxes being shoved down his throat

Laugh all you want.
I think I need to talk my council woman about apartment complexes paying more property taxes due to the strain they put on fire, police, ems, and Dpw services.
How many calls for fire protection, ems, and police does an apartment use compared to single family housing. I rent out single family housing and why should I pay when not one of my homes has used fire, police, or ems in 10 years.
While how many times in a month does ems, fire, police respond to apartment or multi family units?
Seems to me the apartments and multi family needs to be taxes higher Due to the higher rate of calls.
That would be fair.
Let's see apartment complexes
1. Have more calls to law enforcement
2. More calls to ems
3. More calls for first responders
4. It's only fair that apartment owners pay more.
Yes I pay a lot more than you do because I don't get tax breaks.
I have farm land with gas wells on it in the northern part of EBRP. Where is my tax break?
Where is city police coming to make sure poachers don't set foot on my property?
I bet the money I pay in taxes goes to the general fund which pays for city services which I don't even receive.

Come on LSUrussian your 9 acres sucks resources out of the city.
My 50 acres don't.
I want to know why you don't pay per acre what I pay due to gas rigs on my property?
