Why go to church if you are gonna walk in half hour late?

Baw and his bawette walked in 30 min late yesterday. She was dressed to the 9s, probably going to a nice brunch at Applebees after and probably why they were late. But at this point youve missed over 50% of Mass, sermon was over.
Jesus isnt giving you credit for going walking in that late.

They need to be seen to be saved

Church isn’t for religious worship. It’s for social events

Who are you to say if they are late to church? At least the baw showed up

Well at least they went.... Better than a lot of people. Maybe they got a flat tire???

As long as you receive communion it’s okay.

"judge not, lest ye be judged as well"
but that said, ya just wait and go to the next service if you are that late

Jesus also isn't giving you credit for going to Mass or being catholic.

Jesus doesn't take attendance at the beginning of his sermons. You just have to sign the sheet on the way out.

They were probably caring for the sick and needy while you were daydreaming during the sermon

Why go to Church if all your attention is on judging others for arriving late?

So your in church... a couple busts through the door 30mins late and your thought process led you to believe that "Jesus" is gonna be mad at them for being late but he's ok with you, who comes into his house, and starts judging his guests, then runs to the internet to spread blasphemy. Son... you need to mind your own business cause they prayed ahead earlier and told "Jesus" they were running late!

Maybe they were hungry and were only there for the body of Christ.

Catholic Mass rules actually allow you to basically go to as many Masses through the day as needed to make up one complete Mass. So if you think that a 4pm Mass is at 430, go in 30 minutes late, you can stay and participate it so long as by the end of the set of readings you are celebrating have finished. so you can come back and hit the first 30m of the 6pm and roll out.
This is my understanding from a recent discussion with someone who previously spent time in the seminary.

Saw a couple with kids do this at vigil mass this past Saturday. I like how some show up 10 - 15 minutes late and leave right after communion. Even seen people come in about 5 minutes before communion. What's the point???

As far as them coming late for church, that's none of my concern. Now for me, if I'm going to be that late, I'm going to skip church and head for brunch.

The modern trend among a lot of protestant churches has been to abandon the old traditional music for contemporary stuff.
I prefer to skip the rock concert, so I arrive when it's over and listen to the sermon.
Here's a tip for those of you who want to do the same: if you arrive early you can clearly hear the full drum set hammering from the parking lot. Wait until that stops to go in.
